Hummus is a yummy snack to have around. Paired with raw vegetables or put in wraps, this bean dip is quite versatile. It’s also a great party food, and people like it with crackers.

Homemade Hummus

2 cups chickpeas, cooked
3 pepperocinis (often found in jars)
4 tablespoons tahini
1 1/2 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 cup lemon juice
4 garlic cloves, peeled
1/2 teaspoon cumin
salt and pepper, to taste

Place all ingredients in food processor and process until smooth. Add more oil for a thinner consistency.

Have you tried any hummus variations? Red pepper maybe?

  1. I buy the hummus at Walmart with the red peppers on top. Have tried the garlic variety, but didn't like it.
